Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

It was such a beautiful day, so we spent lots of time outside. Darin and his dad put up the Christmas lights outside and the boys, Lizzy and I put our tree and the inside decorations up.

The boys said they are thankful on this Thanksgiving Day for...
Carter: Birds, Tigers, Harlem, Gracie, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa & Lizzy...and Gypsy too
Caden: Mom, Dad, Bumpa, Blue Grandma, Papa, Grandma, Lizzy, Gracie, Gypsy and Harlem

Here are some images from our day...

Dentist

The boys had dentist appointments on Tuesday and they both let the hygienist clean, brush, floss and do a fluoride treatment on their teeth. If I hadn't witnessed it myself, I would never believe Caden could sit still that long! When the hygienist asked him to open his mouth, he would open it SOOO wide (as you can see from the pictures)! Good report from the dentist for both.

Kindergarten, Kindergarten, What Do You See?

Carter's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Sterling, is super. She's been sending home some binders with pictures so families can see what the class has been doing.

Carter brought home the "Kindergarten, Kindergarten, What do you see?" book yesterday and it is so cool. It is based on the kid's book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" and there is a page for each of the kids in the class. Here are some pictures of the book: the page before Carter's (where he told Celine what to draw on the page - some fish), his page (where he drew a picture of a crocodile for the next student, Ben). The last page shows Mrs. Sterling seeing all the Kindergartners.

The pictures are backwards in order, so start at the bottom. I guess I need to learn how to edit HTML to make this work!

She is a pretty tough teacher though, he now has homework several nights a week practicing his letters and reading. I didn't realize kindergartners have homework!

Darin's Montana Hunting Trip

Darin had fun hunting in Montana this past weekend and shot this buck. He was pretty excited, said it was the biggest buck he's ever got!

Welcome to the Esser Family blog!

It seems that time goes by so fast and many special things happen in our lives. Although the miles aren't too great between us, they are enough to prevent being present for some of these moments and events. I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while, and decided now is a great time to begin documenting and sharing these special times.
